Wild Woodland Garden and Community Orchard
Just behind the Kirk, between the Old Military Road and the river Orchy, Dalmally Community Orchard is a shared space for locals and visitors to enjoy.
You can sit by the River Orchy on the hand- made oak seat and enjoy the view over the Orchy Bridge to Ben Cruachan. You can also enjoy views in the other direction of Ben Lui, sit and have a picnic under the covered shelter, listen to the birds and keep an eye out for the squirrels.
The orchard grows a variety of apples and plums along with fruit bushes and an array of wild flowers which are all availble to enjoy.
Managed and maintained by a small voluntary committee and lots of willing volunteers, the orchard also has trees across the area and a second site in Portsonachan.
Watch out for regular volunteer days, special events and the Xmas lights.
