Dalmally Youth Club – Info, Times, Values & Rules

Welcome to Dalmally Youth Club, part of Orchy & Awe Youth Action Group. We’re a friendly, safe youth club where young people can meet friends, try activities, and build confidence. We run structured sessions with clear boundaries to keep the club enjoyable for everyone.

Session Times
(Term Time)

  • Tuesdays during school term
    • P6–P7: 3:30pm – 4:45pm
    • Staff reset: 4:45pm – 5:00pm
    • S1–S3: 5:00pm – 6:15pm

We do not run regular Tuesday sessions during school holidays.

Holiday Activities & Trips

During school holidays, we may offer occasional trips, special activities, or weekend events. Details will be shared in advance via the website and parent communications.

Location

Dalmally Community Centre
We meet in the main hall. Please use the front entrance for drop-off and collection.

Annual Contribution

We ask for a £5 annual contribution to help cover materials and running costs.
If this is a barrier for your family, please speak to us in confidence, no young person will be excluded.

What We Do

Activities vary and may include:

  • crafts and creative projects
  • board games and card games
  • group challenges and physical games
  • teamwork activities (including console games when set up)
  • youth-supported planning for community events

Our Values

Code of Conduct (Rules)

Safety Rules (Non-negotiable)

  • Do not play with doors
  • Do not pull stage curtain ropes or touch stage equipment
  • Do not leave the building without telling staff
  • No fighting, aggressive behaviour, vaping, or substances

If a safety rule is broken, a parent/carer will be contacted and the young person may need to leave for the day.

Behaviour Expectations

  • Walk in corridors (no running)
  • Stay in visible areas unless using the toilet
  • Follow staff guidance on where activities take place
  • Share equipment and take turns
  • Rough play must stop if asked

Breaks / Calm Space

Young people can take a short break if they feel physically or emotionally unwell, overwhelmed, or need time to settle.

  • Breaks take place in the front entrance area (visible to staff).
  • Toilets and side rooms are not break spaces.
  • After a short break, young people are expected to return to the session.
  • If a young person cannot return to the session, we will contact a parent/carer to arrange collection.

Phones & Photos

  • Phones may be used respectfully.
  • No filming or photographing other young people.
  • Please do not post from the club unless agreed with staff.
