Dalmally Litter Picking Group

Dalmally Litter Picking Group is a non-profit volunteer-driven community group committed to maintaining a cleaner environment in Dalmally. Established in 2021, the group organise litter-picking in and around the local area to reduce waste and promote environmental responsibility. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to participate, with equipment such as litter pickers, gloves, and bags provided. The group collaborates with the local primary school to help raise awareness about the impact of littering and encourage sustainable practices.

Aims & Objectives

Raise awareness of litter problems
Improve the local environment
Reduce waste that can be reused, repurposed or recycled
Create a cleaner and tidier local area
Promote physical outdoor activity
Enable people to meet one another, bringing people closer together
Create a sense of pride in the community and local area

Our volunteers come together as often as possible to keep the local area free of litter.
We currently have 38 group members on Facebook.
Our original set up costs which included equipment & PPE, storage facilities and public liability insurance, were funded by Dalmally Community Company. Fund raising is ongoing for expenses such as annual public liability insurance and replacement equipment.
