Dalmally Community Company
Dalmally Community Company was incorporated in February 2002. It is a Company Ltd by Guarantee and a ScottishCharity registered with OSCR.
Its stated aims are ‘to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Community, without distinction on grounds of race, political, religious, or other opinions, by associating with the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide, or assist in providing, facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation, following principles of sustainable development and in the interests of social welfare so that their conditions of life may be improved, where “sustainable development” means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’.
The company developed Dalmally Community Centre. It now manages this together with all associated sports facilities and/or any other amenities. It also ensures that these are accessible to all members of the community and that the company is democratically run and accountable to the local community.
Dalmally Community Company receives an annual amount of community benefit funding from the Eas a Ghaill Hydro Scheme and makes small grants (up to £5000) available to local groups and organisations. Application guidelines and application forms are available here:
